Professor Duro Oni, until recently a deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Lagos and a former Director-General of the Federal Government-owned CBAAC (The Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization) is one Nigeria’s best known and pioneer production designers in both the theatre and the moving picture traditions. He holds his first and second academic degrees from the California Institute of the Arts (CALARTS), USA, and a Ph.D from the University of Ibadan.
Kingsley Uranta, even though in his prime still, is a veteran broadcaster, producer and telejournalist. He has an ongoing four-year leadership as project manager and trainer for the BBC World Service Trust. He is currently an Assistant General Manager, operations, with the Channels Television Group where his oversight includes managing communications, partnerships and the Channels Academy in Abuja. He studied Linguistics and Communication Arts at the post-graduate level at the University of Port Harcourt. He was also the best television reporter of the year in 1996, according to the National Media Merit Award.
Joy Namure Edoimioya has worked in the Nigerian television industry for more than 20 years. Currently she is the General Manager having oversight of programme acquisition at Africa Independent Television where she has been a producer, a presenter and newscaster. Her special interest is in make-up art as a stratum of the larger beauty industry which spurred a national network programme that she initiated. She holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy.
George Osodi, award-winning international photographer, is renowned for his very intense documentaries and photojournalism. He has exhibited in some of the prestigious museums around the world. A Fuji-Africa Photographer of the Year winner and also a Sony World Photography Award recipient. He is a roving lecturer in many universities including Columbia, Indianapolis and Wales.
Tajudeen Agboola is one of the prominent production and post-production directors from the very inception of Nollywood who midwifed the transition from analogue to digital.
He has since been working in the mediums of feature film production, television magazines and musical video. He published the highly influential magazine “African Video Maker” that spotlit the local production scene and film technology.
For five years, he directed the Nigerian Television network programme “Crime Fighters, The Police and You” including the production design for many successful Nollywood features, short films and product commercials.
